Ok, so I’m trying something new today. I was thinking over the weekend about how much information I want to put onto this blog and pass on to you and look over what posts and resources I’ve been reading in the past week – and it has been a busy week for me. I’m getting ready all the newbie blog steps for the coming weekend, as well as setting up a few more blogs in different niches to extend my online portfolio. It’s tiring writing all day long about something that sort of interests you to a point, and then writing so much sends you to boredom, so I often roam around some of the blogs I have in my RSS reader and read quite a few posts on different topics.
Then I thought, why not share then with you, as a reader of this blog; there’s no point trying to write about everything I stumble across, so I’m going to link to it instead. I’ve done this on a couple of my other blogs and it’s worked out quite well, so I’m going to give it a go here on road2blogging.
10 reasons George Bush hates Google Adsense – A really funny video from Mark at 45n5 about why, if George Bush wanted to use adsense, he would hate them hands down.
10 Productivity Tips for Bloggers – This post jumped out at me this week with a ‘read me!’ tag slapped on top. I feel I’ve been rather unproductive this week, because I’ve been writing during most of it and not commenting and participating in forums so often. This has given me the boost I needed.
Secrets to blog promotion that nobody admits to – All newbies like me and you are trying to get the word out about our blog aren’t we? Well, after reading this post I wrote down what I was doing for other bloggers as opposed to what I was doing for myself and I was leaning towards doing more for others than myself – good one me! It is interesting to think about though, because as bloggers we need to share thoughts and understanding of topics and subjects to evolve to become better bloggers don’t we?
11 ways to piss off bloggers when you comment – I’ve not been commenting much this week on different blogs, so this hasn’t been a huge problem for me lately, but I did get a whole load of spam from one person who was leaving a five word comment with three link backs to different sites they had, truly annoying.
Why searching for something not about blogging can make you think about blogging – I’ve always been interested in the thought of blogging sat in a cafe in town, but I’ve never actually done it. It is on my ‘to do’ list and with the UK having rain all the time (as always) I’m not going to get chance to go to the park and blog in the sun until June I guess. A great comparison from Problogger and a good perspective on customer service – one area I need to start a blog on! (note to self, GET IT DONE!)
