RSS hugger - are you ready to share the love?

Thanks for visiting road2blogging.com, if you like what you've read, then please subscribe to the RSS feed, or RSS by Email to stay on top of recent news and postings from the blog.

RSS hugger is a newly designed concept that Colin LaHay has created to bring together bloggers and RSS readers.

Rss

A new site (pretty much like road2blogging.com) rss hugger wants to have 250,000 sites signed up in their first year – currently they have 198.

Rss hugger was charging $10 for bloggers signing up, but now you can join for free and have a membership time of 10 years – although I’m not sure how long it will stay around as times are changing very quickly at the moment across the net and with social media – only time will tell.

As for the design I’m really not a big fan of dark blogs, just don’t like the feeling of reading any colour on a dark or black blog, and it’s only because the Chow did a review on the site that I didn’t ‘click off’ instantly – the design needs mellowing out a little.

The idea came from the rss challenge that www.johnchow.com and www.shoemoney.com had with their RSS readers last month, and I think it is a good one.

Other good points about the site

  • Blog directory is good and has a reasonable amount of categories to choose from
  • The Random blog page is good for any of you stumblers out there – as long as it is random from all the blogs and not just the top 100
  • There is a top 100 list that is in order of the number of RSS subscribers a blog has, but there is also a page of the top 100 newly added blogs which I think will help us newbies along.

All in all a site that has more positive aspects than negative ones, only wish they’d sort out that design!

Hey, it’s great to receive like the above reply. Mr. Collin LaHay himself approved your blog.

I’ve registered with rssHugger about four days ago, but I’ve yet to write a post about them. Seeing Mr. Collin LaHay here motivate me to post about them ASAP.

BTW, I’m here via Entrecard. I met so many new blogs and enjoyed myself reading their posts. Whenever possible, I shall leave a comment or two. I guess it will slow me down, coz it’s still cheap to advertise on my blog, but it’s okay. I prefer to read and learn and meeting new Bloggers such as yourself.

Greetings and lotta loves from Malaysia.

You’re probably best to complete the post for rsshugger as the above one only took me 10 minutes. I like entrecard too and have seen a couple of well known bloggers stop by for a look at the road2blogging blog.

I think the system works really well and I’m glad I was one of the first 100 that was displayed on the site, over the last few days A LOT more bloggers have joined and the forums are becoming more helpful.

Hope you have fund with it and thanks for stopping by.

I joined up to about three days ago. Haven’t got a reply yet but I saw I was listed, at #11, yesterday. Coincidently, yesterday I had the all time most visitors to my new blog as well.

Doesn’t look like I’ve received any traffic from rsshugger Andy. But, it’s still only early days yet and I haven’t got a massive amount of subscribers.

On the plus side I’m 53rd out of 85 rss feeds on rsshugger in the make money online section, so at least I’m not last
